In an announcement this morning, the decision has been made that Falmouth School will join the Roseland MAT.

The Regional School's Commissioners Headteacher Board met on Monday (16th) to discuss the re-brokerage of Falmouth School.

Interim Headteacher at Falmouth School, Alex George, said:

"I know that you will all be relieved that this period of uncertainty has come to an end and that we now have a home where there are two other secondary schools (Roseland and Newquay Treviglas) that will be our partners and I would like to pay tribute to the work of the Trustees and Mark Lees in bringing this about."

The transition will hopefully be completed by the beginning of the new school year, 1st September 2020.

However, following discussions between the Diocese of Truro, the Falmouth Trust Board and school leaders, it has been decided that two Falmouth primary schools will not be joining the Roseland MAT.

Discussions are ongoing to decide which MAT is best suited for King Charles CE and St Francis CE.

Interim CEO of Falmouth MAT, Mark Lees, said:

"On behalf of Falmouth Multi-Academy Trust I would like to thank the staff, students and parents of all three schools for their hard work, support and patience during this period. The improvements have been clear for all to see and it has been a pleasure to help lay the foundations for a brighter future of the students that attend these schools."
