Jayne Kirkham, Cornwall Councilor for Falmouth Smithick, speaks on the town's priorities as businesses reopen.

"Safety is absolutely paramount," says Jayne.

Yesterday, Falmouth's 'non-essential' businesses reopened to residents who have been, for the most part, staying indoors.

Monday saw Falmouth again filled with people - some having socially distanced chats, some quickly on the way to their favourite store and some just on the browse.

It felt like one step closer to a 'new normal' in Falmouth.
