Richard Wilcox, Manager of Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID), speaks on the reopening of Falmouth's businesses after lockdown and how BID has helped the community.

Richard Wilcox said:

"The world has come to Falmouth through this crisis. We've had a town just outside of Auckland in New Zealand, we've had Boston Massachusetts, a leading city organisation, asking how we have come together so effectively with quite modest resources but to deliver so widely for our town and area."

Yesterday, Falmouth's 'non-essential' businesses reopened to residents who have been, for the most part, staying indoors.

Monday saw Falmouth again filled with people - some having socially distanced chats, some quickly on the way to their favourite store and some just on the browse.

It felt like one step closer to a 'new normal' in Falmouth.
