A dog swallowing rat poison in Tregoniggie Woodland, Falmouth this morning has sparked a warning to fellow walkers.

As reported by a local resident, a dog was taken to the vets (confirmed to be rat poison).

The poison was reportedly left in the woods along the top of the path near the industrial estate.

It was all picked up by 8:45am this morning (8th), but be wary if you are out walking around this area.

Posting the warning on social media, they added:

"I can't believe someone would do that, all the wildlife too it's terrible."
