Cormac has announced they will be carrying out more road repair works in Falmouth and there will be two sets of road closure measures in place.

The work has been prioritised ahead of National Armed Forces Day and other major events in the town.

An urgent road closure will first be in place on Gyllyngvase Road and Cliff Road, Falmouth from Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th May while essential carriageway repair work is carried out.

The road will be closed on weekdays only between the hours of 9:30 am and 4 pm. Outside of these times, the road will be open as normal.

An urgent road closure will then be in place on Avenue Road, Falmouth from Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th May while essential carriageway repair work is carried out.

The road will be closed on weekdays only between the hours of 9:30 am and 4 pm. Outside of these times, the road will be open as normal.

Marshalls will be in place on both sites to support residents and businesses needing access, all through traffic will need to follow the diversions in place.

Cormac says they need to implement these measures to give their teams a safe working zone and protect road users while the work is carried out. There will be marshals on site to support residents.

After recent issues, residents are also being reminded to not leave vehicles or obstruct the roads during the times stated above, this will only cause delays.
