Visit studios in Cornwall between May and June

Open Studios Cornwall is a project that helps bring together creatives in the county, between the 27th of May and the 4th of June a number of artists will open up their creative spaces for people to visit and seek inspiration.

Open Studios is run by Cornwall 365, a creative consultancy promoting Cornwall as a year-round sustainable creative destination. Cornwall 365 is part of the Creative Kernow Group, the creative and cultural sector support organisation for Cornwall. Partly funded by Arts Council England and Cornwall Council.

One of the artists involved, Anthony Frost, explained why the project is so important, he said: " Visual artists, like writers and poets, spend a lot of time on their own and need/want to show people their work and where they work and how they work.

"I loved the series that the Guardian Newspaper did, "Writers' Rooms". It was fascinating to see where these writers and poets worked and what their rooms looked like, and what writers felt they needed around them to create! I always wished they would do "Artists in their Studios" as I'd love to see how and what other artists do and where they do it."

There are many creatives involved all across Cornwall, a full list and map are available on the website with information about the artist and their studio.

Let's take a look through which artists around Falmouth and Penryn are involved:
