Police have today named the woman who died following an incident in Perranarworthal.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a silver Audi A5 and a blue Vauxhall Meriva at the junction of Cove Hill and the A39 at Perranarworthal at around 12.40pm on Saturday 30 March.

79-year-old Barbara Hoare, who was the front-seat passenger of the Vauxhall, died at Treliske Hospital on 3 April. Her family have requested privacy at this time.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is being conducted.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Bodmin are appealing for a number of people, believed to have stopped at the scene to offer assistance, to contact them.

They are in particular seeking to hear from a female doctor, a veterinary nurse and the occupants of a small red car that may have been directly behind the Vauxhall at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information is urged to get in contact with the police. Find out more details by clicking the button below.
