UPDATE: Suspect pursued by police helicopter and dog unit after ramming police car

A 22-year-old man from Camborne is in police custody after failing to stop for the police following the ramming of a police vehicle in Penryn last night (26th).
Police Commander BCU for Cornwall, Ian Drummond-Smith reported details of the incident on social media this morning which can be read here.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson provided further information, saying:
"A 22-year-old man from Tuckingmill, Camborne, has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road accident following an incident at around 11.30pm, yesterday, Sunday 26th April at Antron Hill, Penryn.
"A BMW, part of a convoy of four cars, rammed a police car and then drove off. A BMW was subsequently located on fire nearby.
"A police search involving the police helicopter and a dog unit ensued and a suspect was located and arrested.
"The occupants of the other vehicles which were stopped were given fines for breaching Covid-19 social distancing rules.
"A police officer sustained minor injuries in the incident."
