Linden Homes and South West Water have again responded to recent allegations about water runoff coming from the Linden Homes development site in Swanpool.

A spokesperson from Linden Homes told Falmouth Nub News:

"Our development has not yet been connected to the main surface water drainage system, which links to the sea.

"Surface water is currently caught in specialised bags in accordance with the Environment Agency and South West Water, but we will be creating additional environmental controls as a preventative measure during the exceptionally high levels of recent rainfall.

"We would like to reassure the local community that we are committed to delivering high-quality homes responsibly and we'll continue to work with the authorised bodies to ensure we follow the correct procedures."

A South West Water spokesperson said:

"This relates to the development's highways drainage, not South West Water's network."

Concerns reared their head again yesterday as pictures and videos on social media showed the runoff that appeared to originate from the Linden Homes building site running into Swanpool beach.

Linden Homes and South West Water had previously denied allegations but due to the fresh nature of the images and videos online, Falmouth Nub News wanted to give them another chance to respond.
