This evening, heavy rain and strong winds wreaked havoc around Falmouth and Penryn.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain, that is expected to continue until the early hours of Thursday morning.

The weather caused travel disruption as trees were reported to have fallen across the area onto roads and train lines.

There were a series of tree-related incidents, including at Bickland, Argal, and Kernick.

The clean up operation has begun on the trees with many reported having been cleared.
