There will be two separate rail strikes this weekend that will affect rail services in Falmouth.

The RMT (Rail, Maritime, and Transport) Union has organised strike action for Saturday (2 September). Aslef, the trade union for train drivers, has also announced strike action for Friday (1 September).

These strikes will see no rail services available in Falmouth across both days.

For customers that have already purchased tickets for these days, the GWR is allowing the tickets to be valid over a period of days:

  • Tickets for Friday 1 September can be used the day before or up to and including Tuesday 5 September
  • Tickets for Saturday 2 September can be used on Thursday 31 August the day before or up to and including Tuesday 5 September

There is also the possibility of claiming a refund on an Unused ticket.

As always it is recommended to check online for any changes to rail services before travelling.
