There has been heavy traffic around Penryn this afternoon following an incident involving a tractor.

Police have been pictured on the scene at Treluswell Roundabout after a tractor reportedly lost its trailer on the roundabout.

The latest traffic update just after 12:30pm read: "Queueing traffic due to obstruction on the road and recovery work on A39 Southbound at A393 (Treluswell Roundabout). On the roundabout.

"A tractor has lost its trailer affecting traffic on all approaches to the roundabout."

Motorists have been advised to find an alternative route.

No injuries reported.
