It was the third call out in thirteen hours for Falmouth Coastguard after a walker fell and injured her ankle.

The incident took place at Mawnan Sheer, Mawnan Smith, she'd fallen around ten feet from the path above and tumbled to her resting position.

Team members assessed the casualty and found her to have a significant ankle injury.

"We were joined shortly after by Air Ambulance Paramedics and a land crew. Paramedics were able to administer some pain relief and working together we packaged the lady onto our stretcher," Falmouth Coastguard said.

The team then used specialist rope rescue equipment to move the stretcher back up the hillside.

The casualty was carried back along the path to a waiting Ambulance for onward care at Treliske Hospital.
