Chris Brookes, and 89-year-old man from Falmouth who went missing last night has died, the family said.

Chris was found this morning at approx 8am. He was found in one of the lanes just above the new Swanpool development.

He was taken to Treliske via ambulance and the family were phoned within the hour to be told that he had suffered a severe bleed to the brain, and nothing more could be done.

Sadly he passed at 14:30 with his family and his wife Joy by his side.

"We just want to thank everyone for all their kindness looking for him," Freyja Penaluna said.
