Today is known as Blue Monday, a day that has been given the rather gloomy name thanks to a mixture of post-Christmas blues, the cold dark winter nights and unpaid bills arriving on your doorstep.

Academics calculated the third Monday of January as the most depressing day of the year.

However, this year it will be even harder for many people, as the pandemic continues to impact our lives.

There are reasons to be positive and one is the amazing town we all live in with so much to see and do to maintain our mental health.

With that in mind, here are some photos of things to smile about in Falmouth and the surrounding area.

We would also love to see your own positive stories or photos. Share anything happy in the comments below, and tell us what the town means to you!
