A road closure and diversion is in place this week in Boslowick as Network Rail takes on de-vegetation works.

The work means that the use of motor vehicles will be prohibited over an area of the highway at Boslowick Road between the junction for Theydon Road and the junction for East Rise.

The order comes into operation from today, 18th January, and the works are expected to be completed by the 21st January.

This will be in force between the hours of 2100 and 0500 on a daily basis, weekdays only.

Kevin Bryant, Cornwall Council Head of Highways and Infrastructure said:

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, cyclists, buses, school buses, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

"Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained."
