The Oggymen are set to release their fourth album 'How It Belongs To Be' - paying tribute to well known local characters.

The news of the new album was shared on social media with the artwork paying tribute to the late PC Andy Hocking, Betty Stogs and Lee Coleman among many other people and places.

The artwork on the cover was created by Bex Bourne, you can find her artwork here.

Sharing the news of the album release The Oggymen said:

"Our new album 'How It Belongs To Be' is out on the 17th November and we are very much looking forward to sharing it with you pards.

"Recording our fourth album has reunited us with songs that have been sung in communities of Cornish people past and present."

The album was recorded in early June at Cube Recording Studios.

Speaking to Nub News The Oggymen revealed further details about the album saying:

"How It Belongs To Be is a Cornish dialect expression for when something is right and proper - "The Oggymen belong to be in Falmouth," as an example.

"We cannot be what we once were. We can only be what we are here and now. Our children will outlive us. Yet, their memories of the present and these songs will bind them to this community wherever they might choose to roam. And that is how it belongs to be."
