An Indian Restaurant in Falmouth served the community by giving out over thirty free meals on Sunday to the homeless, elederly, key workers and economically vulnerable.

General manager at Balti Curries, Ram Prasad Sharma, has told Nub News that he wants to help the community as much as possible during the virus.

Ram is again inviting people to line up outside the store this Sunday at 12.30pm to receive a meal on the house.

Ram said:

"I just want to be doing my bit to help everyone out, I don't like not doing anything.

"We want to help people who can't afford things right now."

Over thirty residents lined up outside Balti Curries on Sunday to pick up their free meal of curry, rice and bread.

A resident who went to pick up a meal said:

"I've been overwhelmed by the kindness whilst working through this time, and this meal has been much appreciated. Thank you."

Ram is asking anyone who wants a meal to message the Balti Curries Facebook page prior to the day so he can be aware of numbers.
