New Falmouth cafe and restaurant The Cornish Bank, based on 34 Church Street, has got an opening date and a new logo, both revealed yesterday.

Owners Will and Rufus are have set out plans to open the premises on May 17th - a building which was formerly a bank and a One Stop Shop.

Speaking to Nub News back in December at the pop-up Christmas market, Will said:

"The cafe wasn't planned, it is something we wanted to do and it is one of those things that if you go looking for it, it is hard to find the right thing. The opportunity came up and we just went for it."

The Cornish Bank will be offering "arts, food and a bar" and have already advertised their first event in July.

On the 1st of July, Californian singer-songwriter Jesca Hoop will be performing.

Her most recent album was given 4 stars from Q Magazine, "released on July 5th by Memphis Industries, STONECHILD is Hoop refined and defined. Beautiful, subtle and stark, her fifth album, the follow up to 2017's highly acclaimed 'Memories Are Now', is her best yet," the review reads.
