A popular Falmouth bar is getting set to launch a drinks delivery service this weekend, securing a new license in order to make it possible.

The Brig based on Arwenack Street will be offering delivery and collection slots on both Friday and Saturday on a variety of cocktails including Spiced Zombie, Pina Colada and Apple Pie. There is also delivery available for beers.

Ashleigh Morgan, general manager and owner of The Brig told Nub News about how the team was looking forward to getting back into action, she said:

"We are definitely feeling both excited and nervous! This has been a while in the making, we have had to apply for a new license in order to offer collection and delivery.

"Happy to say that the licensing officer was really supportive of our new plan.

"We are still too small to really offer a nice environment for people to eat and drink in, although we are constantly reviewing ideas for this next stage. But for now, this is the most viable way of saving our business and spreading The Brig love to Falmouth!

"We are finding the way with drinks this weekend and hope to bring back food for collection and delivery the weekend after. Definitely feeling a bit rusty behind the bar, but I love what I do and can't wait to get stuck in again."

Collection slots will be every 15 minutes between 6pm and 9pm. Delivery times are between 6pm and 7pm OR 7pm and 8pm.

Deliveries will be to the Falmouth area only.
