Storm Atiyah set to hit Falmouth

The Met Office has issued a two-day weather warning with severe gales expected to sweep across the region.

Irish service Met Eireann named the weather Storm Atiyah.

Gust's of wind of up to 50-70mph will come in during Sunday evening and carry on into Monday morning.

What to expect:

- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely

- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.

- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.

- It's likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.

- Some damage to temporary structures is possible.
