Yesterday evening saw Kimberley Park light up red in support for an international movement.

We Make Events, is an international movement to highlight that the live events sector urgently needs support from local governments to survive.

The 2019 Voice winner Molly Hocking and Parklive teamed up to show their support for the movement.

With red lights beaming down on her, Molly said:

"I am in Kimberly Park and as you can see it is lit up in red and I am dressed in red as a sign for complete solidarity to all the performing arts lot who earn money from live audiences.

"I know it has been a really hard few months for us all, especially me and other major artists, theatre groups all around the country, we really need support from the government at this time.

"This message is going out there and I hope it will reach a wide variety of people and hopefully we can raise awareness to get government support."
