Penryn Surgery, Saracen Way. Plea for kindness towards staff.

Penryn Surgery says delays have led to "unkind and rude" behaviour towards staff members.

The practice, situated on Saracen Way, says the delays are a result of consultations taking longer than planned and staff shortages.

A spokesperson for Penryn Surgery said the behaviour "will not be tolerated".

They added:

"We have had a few occasions recently where patients visiting the surgery for an appointment have been rude to members of our staff.

"All of our staff work very hard to ensure that patients are seen at the time of their appointment but sometimes due to circumstances out of our control, for example, emergency appointments, a consultation taking longer than initially anticipated, and staff shortages the clinic may run slightly delayed.

"Unkind and rude behaviour will not be tolerated."
