Richard Millie Cup: Best Photos and how to follow the race
Falmouth was the first stop in the inaugural edition of The Richard Mille Cup which has been created out of a passion for the beauty of great design and fine workmanship, for a love of competition and classic yachts.
Jamie Medlin is a photo-realistic marine artist, specialising in yachting scenes and Cornish seascapes. He has been kind enough to share some of his best photos with Nub News, some of which he will turn into art pieces.
The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club in Falmouth hosted the opening reception on Saturday the 10th of June which was then followed by three days of inshore racing in Falmouth Bay.
The race combines inshore regattas with offshore courses between 65 and 100 nautical miles long, on both the English and French sides of the Channel. After Falmouth the yachts head to Dartmouth, Cowes, and then Le Havre.
This debut event, of what will become an annual occurrence, was organised with the help of the Royal Yacht Squadron, the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club, the Royal Dart Yacht Club, and the Société des Régates du Havre.
