Police seek witnesses after a serious collision with a cyclist and a Land Rover

A man has been taken to hospital after a serious collision between Falmouth and Truro.

Police say they were called at around 10 am on Saturday 24th June reporting a collision on Forth Coth at the junction with Tregye Road, Carnon Downs. 

The collision involved a Land Rover Discovery and a cyclist, as a result of the collision, the cyclist, a man in his 50s from the local area, sustained serious life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene to investigate and establish how the collision occurred. The road was closed for around three and a half hours whilst this investigation took place. 

Those in the vehicle were unharmed and stopped at the scene.

Police are now seeking witnesses and would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have Dashcam footage of the incident.

Witnesses are requested to contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 101 with information quoting log number 353 24 June.
