Devon and Cornwall Police issue advice to secure motor vehicles

We have seen an increase in theft from motor vehicles.

It only takes seconds for a thief to take valuables from your vehicle.

Empty your vehicle before someone else does.

Lock your vehicle at all times.

Close windows and doors.

Remove all valuables: satnav and cradle, tools, iPod, mobiles and money.

Park your vehicle in a safe and well-lit area. Use secure carparks.

Deter thieves with a sign

Property mark your possessions.

It only takes seconds to secure your valuables. Remove them or lose them.

We have also seen a few instances of theft of Catalytic Converters, one make possibly being targeted includes the older model Honda Jazz. Please park your vehicle in a well-lit or secure area, with CCTV coverage if possible.
