Police are investigating an unprovoked assault on a man in Falmouth on Good Friday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to locate the suspect who is described as being of muscular build, with blonde hair and wearing a baseball cap.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson told Nub News:

"The victim, a man in his 20s, was standing in Penmere Hill around 5.30pm when a man drove by in a blue 4x4. He stopped the car as he believed the victim was looking at him.

"The suspect then got out of his car and approached the victim before punching him twice in the face.

"The victim sustained a black eye and other facial injuries, which are not believed serious."

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via [email protected] or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/028958/20.
