Plans submitted for next stage of Penryn College Valley development

By Joseph Macey 16th Sep 2021

Plans have been lodged for the next stage of the College Valley development with a proposal for a further 7 dwellings.

The application is for the approval of the scheme comprising 7 residential units, associated infrastructure (including retaining structures and works to the highway), access, parking, servicing and landscaping.

An application has already been approved for 121 residential units on-site and construction work has already started on that part of the site.

Planning permission was granted for up to 150 homes on the site in 2017 - this appears to be the next stage of the development.

Last year, the plans for 121 homes received 220 objections from members of the public and an objection from Penryn Town Council.

However, the planning officers had recommended the plans for approval, saying that the development's "design and appearance is of good quality".

The application status is "awaiting decision".
