A planning application has been approved for construction of an outbuilding to use as a nail salon.

The proposed site on Bohelland Road will be based in the back garden of Beau Petite.

Beau Petite is a Penryn based nail and beauty salon, the application was submitted by Shellie Prynn.

In final comments, the Falmouth & Penryn Conservation Committee said:

"No objection in principle but would suggest that the structure is painted in a recessive colour and plants are planted around it to soften the impact."

In support of the application a resident wrote:

"I fully support this application. Due to the circumstances of this year, I believe it is important for small business owners, like this, to be able to get back on their feet, in a safe environment.

"The proposed 'outbuilding' is no more than a large shed, and as a semi-attached neighbour, I do not believe it will infringe on my view/parking/privacy whatsoever."
