Falmouth's Atlantis Jewels has launched a new voucher scheme so people can still get their Christmas shopping sorted during lockdown.
Wednesday will be the last day for the shop on Church Street until they are permitted to open again as businesses enter a second lockdown.
The shop has launched 'Lockdown Lolly' vouchers so customers can still pick up gifts ahead of Christmas.
Each of the vouchers can be purchased for just 80% of its face value.
A £10 voucher costs £8 and a £5 voucher costs £4 and so on.
Peggy Clark, owner of Atlantis Jewels told Nub News:
"Like many small local businesses, we appreciate the loyalty of our customers. The "High Street" in general relies on people using it. We are aware that this current lockdown will make Christmas shopping very difficult for many.
"With all of the local shops closed all that is left in online shopping and this will only serve to make thing even more difficult for local traders, so we wanted to offer our customers an alternative.
"This way they can still give a gift that will be appreciated and help support the town centre. We also wanted to extend some extra help to all of the people that are having to plan this Christmas on 80% furlough wages so we are selling our vouchers for only 80% of their face value."
Vouchers can be purchased in-store today and Wednesday but after that, they will be sold via telephone or email.
They can be paid for by card or PayPal and will be sent out for free so that they can be bought from the comfort and safety of your home.
Peggy added:
"Hopefully we will be able to re-open in early December but even if this is not possible we will be continuing to offer the buy from home service right up to Christmas because some customers are maybe a little nervous about venturing out.
"After Christmas when hopefully shopping will be easier our customers will be able to come and choose their beautiful gifts at full face value of the vouchers."
