A Penryn resident has built a fan base creating isolation comedy sketches on social media, in an attempt to show people that self-isolation isn't as bad it seems.
Hope Hopwood, Penryn, has been uploading content every day for over a week on social media: from boogie boarding in the garden to using washing up liquid to create a treadmill on the kitchen floor and even hosting a 'guess that pub' quiz.
Hope Hopwood told Nub News about the unlikely origins of the project:
"It all started when I went for a bath, and pretended to swim whilst getting my sister to record it. I thought it would make my family laugh, which it did so that's when I was like I'll put it on my social media.
"After I put it up, I had so many likes and messages of people asking me to do one for each day. So that's when I made day two video, which took off even more."
The videos have spread much further than first intended.
"The reaction has actually been crazy. I have people messaging me asking what time the videos are being uploaded, asking what is coming up in the videos today and that it's their favourite part of the day."
Hope is liking that she is able to be giving people an outlet away from all that's happening in the world right now and wants to give people a different outlook, she said:
"It's about showing people isolation isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be, you just have to make the good out of a bad situation."
