Jarrod Westlake, aged 29, of Glen View and Connor McGurk, aged 27, of no fixed address, both appeared at Truro Crown Court today.

The pair faced charges following an incident in Falmouth on Thursday night.

Jarrod Westlake admitted to stealing a single barrel shotgun and £80 belonging to Gerrard Westlake on November 28th in Falmouth.

Westlake denied that he possessed a single-barrelled shotgun with intent to cause unlawful violence against another.

He also pleaded guilty to using or threatening unlawful violence towards another and his conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety on November 28th in Falmouth.

Connor McGurk pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful violence.

McGurk denied one count of making threats to kill, stealing a shotgun and possessing a firearm on November 28th in Falmouth.

Both men will remain in custody until 10th December, when they will reappear in court to resolve all matters.
