Penryn Campus buildings close after gas line incident

UPDATE: Stannary and Exchange - including Library - now open for business again.
Students and residents living around Penryn Campus have been asked to avoid two main university facilities after a gas line was struck this afternoon.
Details of the incident were revealed by Falmouth Exeter Plus on social media.
Wales and West Utilities have been tasked to repair the line.
A spokesperson for FXPlus said:
"We have closed the Stannary and Exchange buildings due to a gas line being hit during construction work. Wales and West Utilities will make repairs asap. In the meantime please avoid this area."
