Local bus company OTS Falmouth put a new fleet of vehicles to the road this week.

On Thursday (2nd) the company launched the first of new 27-seat Mercedes buses.

OTS have invested £750,000 in seven buses for Falmouth to greatly improve services in and around the town as part of a commitment to the new countywide Transport for Cornwall network.

The news was announced on social media with OTS saying:

"These new 'Strata' buses are fitted with USB charging ports, comfortable high-back seats and feature step-free boarding with room onboard for a wheelchair or pushchairs.

"Not only that, but they're fitted with the cleanest possible 'Euro6' engines and use around 37% less fuel than any other vehicle of their capacity."

Reacting to the picture of the brand new bus, one resident commented:

"Looking great guys."

A second commented:

"Well done and very smart looking they are too."
