Troubling footage has emerged appearing to show a late-night brawl happening in Falmouth on the weekend.

In footage shown to Falmouth Nub News from Saturday evening (1st Aug), a large crowd can be seen congregating and fighting on Church Street.

A police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Police were called to Mangos bar on Church Street, Falmouth, at around 1am on Saturday 1 August, with a report that a man had assaulted two male members of the security staff on the door.

"A 23-year-old man from Highbridge, Somerset, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and released under investigation pending further enquiries."

A Falmouth business owner has spoken out about the lack of social distancing occurring during the weekends.

The business owner, who would prefer to stay anonymous, told Nub News:

"Whist all businesses in town are taking their COVID responsibilities seriously, it is extremely concerning in the current climate to see this happening.

"This should be taken seriously by the authorities and closed down."

It is unclear on the exact amount of people shown in the footage.
