Rowe's Cornish Bakers have been given the go-ahead for plans to build a pasty takeaway on their existing site at Bickland Industrial Park.
The development plan consists of the removal of the existing toilet facilities that are no longer required and conversion of that area into a pasty takeaway - no pasties will be cooked in the takeaway.
There will also be a formation of car parking area, installation of drop kerb (for vehicles) and provision of overhead illuminated signage.
The takeaway will provide employment for 6 full-time staff. The opening hours will be Monday to Saturday 8am-4pm.
In a final statement the planning officer said:
"With reference to this planning application, I enclose the decision notice granting permission.
"The developer(s) encouraged to use sustainable building methods for the development hereby permitted so that it is as energy-efficient as possible, in light of the Council's plan to tackle the climate emergency and help Cornwall cut its carbon footprint.
"Make reasonable provision for the needs of members of the public visiting the building or premises who are disabled."
