Multiple call outs for local fire teams - including chalet blaze in the early hours

It was a busy end to the weekend for local fire teams attending incidents in Constantine and Trescobeas Road.

The first incident was at around 4:45pm after a car collided with a wall on Trescobeas Road.

Firefighters from Falmouth helped to release one casualty trapped in the vehicle and gave first aid until the arrival of paramedics.

Then in the early hours of this morning at 1:20am, three local appliances were tasked again to Constantine after reports of a chalet fire, a spokesperson added:

"Three appliances and a whole-time officer were mobilised. On arrival crews found an electrical fire in the consumer unit, two firefighters in breathing apparatus used fire extinguishers to put out the fire. Western Power also attended to isolate the electrics."
