There will be a full road closure at Pendennis next week, from Castle Drive along the headland for maintenance work.

The work is part of a planned highway scheme and will be in place from 22nd February until Friday 26th.

Work will be undertaken between the hours of 8am and 4pm to allow the works to be completed. The road will be open as normal when the work is not being done.

There will be marshals on-site to support residents and businesses needing local access.

All traffic will have to follow diversions whilst the road is closed.

A spokesperson for Cormac said:

"The work will involve cutting back vegetation along the footways and verges and replacement of roadside fencing.

"Verges will be cut beyond the edge of the highway for safety reasons and to allow space for fresh growth through spring and summer.

"We have carried out light trimming in recent years but the vegetation is now growing into the cycleways and footways."
