The main route to Maenporth Beach is set to be closed next month for patching works.

Maenporth Road, the main route leading into the beach and the cafe will be closed from March 8th until 6th April.

The closure will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

"The council is satisfied that the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out patching works," a Cornwall Council spokesperson said.

Bicycle movement will also be restricted, no personnel will be allowed to enter on the highway.

The diversion route will take you through Goldenbank and Mawnan Smith.
