A positive coronavirus case at Maenporth Beach Cafe means the business will be closed for a period of isolation.

A staff member tested positive yesterday whilst away from the cafe - meaning a closure for 10 days to isolate the team.

A spokesperson for Maenporth Beach Cafe, Life's a Beach cafe said:

"We have made the decision to close the Cafe for 10 days to isolate our team to keep both our staff and our customers safe. Everyone's safety is our priority at all times.

"We would like to assure everyone all precautions and procedures are in place. The member was away from work when they received a positive result.

"We apologise for this inconvenience and we will miss the Beach & Cafe, but we will keep ourselves busy at home planning our move back into the Cafe early this year. Stay safe and look forward to seeing you all soon."
