It was a lucky escape for one Swan on Friday afternoon (7th) after being spotted wandering on the A39 bridge near Penryn.

A group of residents stopped on the roadside to give the Swan a helping hand and prevent any incidents.

The Swan was then passed over to Last Chance Animal Hotel, taken in after being found "slightly stunned" by the ordeal.

Justine Russell, who stopped to help, said:

"We had a great group of us to help and massive thank you to Last Chance for coming out and thank you to everyone who stopped to help great teamwork."

Melisa Gallie commented:

"Thank you everyone that's what community is about."
