Falmouth-based charity Love Falmouth has launched a new initiative called the 'No Child Without' project.

The project is to ensure that no child in Falmouth (and the surrounding areas) goes without a warm winter coat, access to fresh, nutritional food and celebrations this Christmas.

With their offices based on Killigrew Street, the Love Falmouth Charitable Trust is a Christian organisation working to bring the community closer together through specific projects and initiatives.

On the project Jennifer Land, Operations Manager at Love Falmouth told Nub News:

"I was doing some research and saw a report that read on average three children from every primary school class will be deprived of the basics such as warm winter clothing, fresh food and celebrations over the Christmas period and that was published in 2018.

"With the recent challenges of Coronavirus and general austerity we looked at that as a charity and we thought we could do something about it.

"We want to ensure no child in Falmouth goes without a warm winter coat or nutritional food this Christmas."

The charity is appealing for people to help out by donating via their Total Giving page or by donating warm winter clothing.

Love Falmouth is in the process of setting up a winter coat pop up shop, "if people have good quality coats that they want to donate to us that would be amazing," Jennifer added.

If you would like to donate a winter coat or have any other queries you can contact them via Facebook or through their website.
