A veterinary practice in Falmouth has achieved six prestigious national awards, from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the profession's UK governing body.
Rosemullion Veterinary Hospital received 'outstanding' accreditations for its hard work and dedication, and exceptional standards in; patient consultation service, diagnostic service, emergency and critical care service, in-patient service, client service, team and professional responsibilities.
Launched in 2015, the RCVS Practice Standards Awards is a voluntary scheme, enabling vets to accredit their practices in a range of specific areas.
The awards are decided through an external inspection and assessment by an inspector from the RCVS which normally lasts two days.
The practice is awarded points against set criteria and the number of points accumulated determines if they achieve a 'good' or 'outstanding' rating. Rosemullion Vets has said that is very unusual for a practice to apply for so many awards at the same time and very few achieve all six awards.
Susan Hawkins, Practice Manager at Rosemullion Vets, said: "I'm exceptionally proud of our eighty colleagues for this amazing achievement. We aim to offer the best possible care to animals and to do this we always strive to work to the highest standard possible.
"In addition, we try to create a supportive team culture within the practice to make it a great place to work. So we are thrilled that all our hard work - over many months and years - has now been recognised as 'outstanding' by the RCVS."
