Rosemullion Vets in between Falmouth and Penryn has undergone a refurbishment to transform its practice and make it fit for the future, so they can continue to serve the local area.

Taking eight weeks and costing upwards of £300,000, the practice has been refurbished and redesigned with the very latest facilities and equipment. Now the work has been completed they can accommodate 25 percent more appointments and offer more veterinary services to the community's pets.

Internally, the layout of the building has been altered to create three modern consulting rooms, whereas previously there were two. Whilst for clients and pets entering the building, there is improved access for clients with limited mobility.

A dedicated area for nurse clinics has been created in order that new services can be run. This will include;

  • Puppy socialising classes
  • Behaviour & relaxation and firework clinics
  • Adolescent pre-neutering checks and neutering advice clinics
  • General wellness checks, weight management clinics, and senior pet care advice
  • Nail clipping & grooming, ear cleaning, and clinical advice on dental care
  • Blood pressure checks, diabetic care, and advice on administering medication & vaccines.

Behind the scenes, a new dedicated cat and dog preparation and operating theatre has also been constructed. The practice has also invested in cutting-edge equipment to diagnose and treat its animal patients.

In addition, the veterinary practice has been given a complete refresh with new flooring, lighting, and complete redecoration. Its client car park has also been fully resurfaced.

The Rosemullion Vets team at the practice is set to increase in the coming months, with the recruitment of additional veterinary colleagues to offer more appointments and additional nurse-led clinics.

Susan Hawkins, Practice Manager at Rosemullion Vets said: "As an established veterinary service in the local community we are excited that this refurbishment places us in a position to continue serving the Penryn area for many years to come. Our newly refurbished building will provide us with a modern practice ready for the future - to represent the veterinary profession's new modern approach to providing veterinary care."
