Falmouth Court Care Home has passed a recent Care Quality Commission inspection with an overall 'Good' rating after being praised for operating a caring, responsive, safe, effective, and well-led service.

Residents, staff, families, and the community all came together for a Garden Party this week to celebrate their success. Everyone enjoyed a musical performance by the band 'Sounds R Us'. While enjoying a wonderful selection of cakes and treats prepared by the home's Kitchen team, all washed down with Primm's and prosecco. 

The CQC inspected the home on 21st April 2023 and rated the home, run by Barchester Healthcare, as 'Good' in all five areas of the inspection. The report stated that residents at the home received good quality person-centered care, and that residents were treated with kindness by caring staff who listened to their requests and supported them in a respectful and dignified way. 

Relatives Comments included, "Staff are amazing here, it's absolutely amazing here, we could not be, more impressed with the care they get." 

The report found that staff were very positive about working at Falmouth Court, one staff member said: "The manager is a good communicator and is supportive. She encourages the residents to be part of everything and is passionate about Falmouth Court." Another staff member commented: "We have wonderful residents, Falmouth Court feels like a real community, it is a lovely home."

Residents reported that they were very happy living at the home, comments included: "It's marvellous. I've recommended it to others", "Life in here is so happy and so contented and you always get your independence. I can't say anything bad about it, they (staff) think about you constantly" and "This place is amazing.

Haley Reeve-Larson, General Manager at Falmouth Court Care Home said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Falmouth Court care home has been rated 'Good' following the CQC's most recent inspection. It is fantastic to have the hard work and dedication of everyone here recognised, we have a fantastic team here and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them."
