21:00 - 359 ballots cast 211 in favour of Johnson 148 against Johnson - Johnson remains PM.

19:15 - Truro and Falmouth Lib Dems say the PM's personal conduct must be looked at.

18:00 - Voting has started. The result will be announced at 9pm.

16:00 - Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Truro & Falmouth Jayne Kirkham says Cherilyn Mackrory MP statement is "disappointing".

14:03 - Falmouth Labour councillor Laurie Magowan responds to Cherilyn Mackrory's statement.

13:10 - Cherilyn Mackrory says she will be supporting the Prime Minister.

The Truro and Falmouth MP says:

"I will be supporting the Prime Minister this evening. In December 2019 nobody predicted the COVID pandemic and following hits to the global economy. My focus remains on delivering for Truro & Falmouth and not this media driven Westminster soap opera #BackBoris."

12:10 - A statement from Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Truro & Falmouth Jayne Kirkham.

She says: "At last, a no confidence vote in Boris Johnson, as enough Conservative MPs have finally broken ranks with the u-turning, dithering & law-breaking. 

"Nothing official from our Cornish Conservative MPs though, as far as I know. However, it's a secret vote, so maybe they'll vote against him even if they aren't prepared to step up publicly. 

"The country needs better than Boris Johnson. He should go."

Local Labour candidate Jayne Kirkham says Boris Johnson should go.
