Cherilyn Mackrory has announced she will back the PM Boris Johnson as a no confidence vote is scheduled for this evening.

Boris Johnson will face a vote of confidence in his leadership as MPs return to Westminster after the half-term break.

The threshold of 15 per cent - or 54 Conservative MPs or more - has been reached to trigger a vote of no confidence in the PM after the Partygate scandal.

In a tweet, the Truro and Falmouth MP says she will be supporting Prime Minister Boris Johnson, calling it all a "media driven Westminster soap opera."
