A learner rider received "more than words of advice" after being stopped in Penryn.
The motorbike was pulled into Asda Penryn after police noticed their mirrors pointing skyward.
The rider was then unable to provide insurance, tax, MOT, or L plates.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team added:
"With mirrors pointed skyward the rider was unable to see any vehicles behind or about to overtake him.
"However, with no insurance, tax, MOT or L plates the rider received more than words of advice."
The bike was seized and the rider was reported.
