IN PICTURES: Lorry carrying large ship mast arrives in Falmouth

A large lorry carrying a 50-metre mast has arrived in Falmouth.

The convoy that was escorted by police, set off at 9:30 from Exeter this morning and passed through the Bodmin, Chiverton Cross, Truro, Arch Hill Roundabout, onto the A39 and finally towards Falmouth.

The ship mast is 53 meters long and 2.55 meters wide.

The image of the mast being transported were shared on social media by resident Nigel Kitto with the tag:

"The 50m+ lorry heading into Falmouth this afternoon with a mast."
