Plans have been put forward for people to rent out "pitches" at the Princess Pavilions, Falmouth.

In early December the gardens at the Princess Pavilions reopened with residents taking to opportunity to use it to exercise or just simply sit and enjoy the surroundings.

The idea was brought to attention by local resident Sean Stratton, believing there are enough people going to the gardens to make it worthwhile.

The plan would see a single "pitch" rented out in the Princess Pavilion car park for a food truck or similar.

"People can grab a tea or coffee and sit in the Pavilion, starts generating cash for the Pavilions and give a small local business a foot up," Sean said.

Speaking to Nub News Sean Stratton added:

"I don't own a food truck. I just thought it would be good for people to get out for a walk, buy a cup of tea and bacon butty or something.

"Rather than just exercise, it gives people a purpose to go out, not all of us were or are fitness fanatics after all. It would bring a bit of normal back into our abnormal world.

"Would hopefully generate some cash for the Princess Pavilions and get people used to going back there."

The concept has been emailed to Falmouth Town Council.
